項(xiàng)目簡(jiǎn)介：

該項(xiàng)目旨在培養(yǎng)規(guī)劃問(wèn)題和綜合城市發(fā)展這些領(lǐng)域的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者，主要通過(guò)如下方式實(shí)現(xiàn)：理論與實(shí)踐相結(jié)合，強(qiáng)調(diào)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的分析與人際溝通技能、判斷思維能力、創(chuàng)新型設(shè)計(jì)能力、社會(huì)責(zé)任心、合作與決策、民主治理能力等。

Urban planning professionals幫助團(tuán)體成員或者決策者找到相對(duì)應(yīng)的解決案例，以此解決與土地使用、運(yùn)輸、房屋、經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展、環(huán)境、可持續(xù)性發(fā)展和社區(qū)設(shè)計(jì)相關(guān)的問(wèn)題。他們解決的問(wèn)題針對(duì)的對(duì)象有城市街道、鄰舍、市中心，以及甚至整個(gè)地區(qū)。在他們的跨領(lǐng)域以及跨行業(yè)的工作中，他們將與商界人士、市民團(tuán)體和鎮(zhèn)府官員一起定義、組織并更好地理解他們周邊的物理性的、自然性的以及社會(huì)性的環(huán)境。

南加大的Master of Planning (MPL)項(xiàng)目開(kāi)設(shè)在Price公共政策學(xué)院，是全美出色的城市規(guī)劃項(xiàng)目之一。他的這個(gè)公共政策學(xué)院在U.S. News & World Report的Public Affairs專業(yè)方面排名第六。并且該項(xiàng)目由美國(guó)Planning Accreditation Board of the American Planning Association認(rèn)證。該校的該項(xiàng)目主要解決的問(wèn)題如下：

◎項(xiàng)目偏實(shí)踐性。通過(guò)實(shí)習(xí)、國(guó)內(nèi)或國(guó)際規(guī)劃工作室、社區(qū)行的研究與項(xiàng)目，學(xué)生將獲得很多時(shí)間機(jī)會(huì)。

Concentrations

學(xué)生可以根據(jù)自己的興趣愛(ài)好從以上5個(gè)Concentrations中選擇一個(gè)。之后，這個(gè)Concentrations包括一門4 units的入門課(gateway course), 一門4 units 的methodology course以及2門選修課elective courses。

Electives

除以上提到的concentration選修課，學(xué)生需要額外再修讀16 units的選修課。這些課程可以從international lab、planning專業(yè)的另一個(gè)concentration、 specialization、certificate program或其他相關(guān)專業(yè)獲得。
