Once a philosopher said that numerous choices made up of life. As for me, there are two significant choices that have great influence on my development orientation and career over the 21 years. Four years ago, in spite of teachers’ strong oppositions, I resolutely gave up mathematics that I was adept at and chose to study Law after National College Entrance Examination, for I understood that such a choice would enable me to actualize my dream and accomplish my pursuit of life. Last month, I unhesitatingly quitted the qualification of furthering studies at ours without taking examinations, which our university offered to those academic excellent students. I abandoned the chance that most of students longed for. Instead, I choose to study in UK and I would like to apply for LLM in Corporate Law & Governance administrated by University of Warwick so as to win self-improvement. It is proved that my first choice is right and the second choice is under way. I yearn for engaging myself in law, so I hope I can make my ideal come true as expected.

　　To study law is my childhood dream, my way of exploring the fairness and harmoniousness of the society and the necessary path for me to realize my dream of embarking on law. My grandfather and grandmother are both engaged in law of the first batch after the foundation of P.R. China. And my father is a judge. Growing up in such family atmosphere, I have been edified by various value views concerning law since childhood. Supposed I accepted these value views passively in childhood, now law is not only my major but also my way of living in the previous three years in that my study of logic thinking of law has exerted an great influence on my idea. Law is the crystal of human’s wisdom and the footstone of harmonious society. My ideal of becoming a lawyer strives me to move forward on the way of studying law perseveringly.

　　After her entry to WTO, developing herself rapidly in economic globalization, China has a lot of development opportunities and increasing chances to involve herself in trades with developed foreign countries. However, there do exist insufficiencies and the most obvious one is her imperfection in law system. My study at the university makes me clearly understand that there are plenty of problems in our law and realize that China needs learn from and use relevant systems of western countries for reference. Hence I want to get to know law ideas of British and American law systems so as to acquire healthy law systems regarding economy and trade in western countries. As the cradle of common law system, UK enjoys a high reputation in law research and education all over the world.

　　Via the Internet, I have referred to the recruit information and specility setting of Law School of celebrated higher education institutions of UK, to my surprise, I find yours will offer the program of International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation in 2007. In my opinion, the program will enable students to contact system and rules of corporate law on a whole in a year and apply law to practice in financial aspect and so on. No doubt, it offers me a gold opportunity to touch relevant contents about corporate law to a maximum extent in the one-year study.

　　During my study at the university, except for my specialty, I also have minored in WTO Business. The study of business makes me realize contradictions and deficiencies in law system about trade of China and firm my determination of pursuit of studying relevant specialities systematically. Although the task of the second degree is rater heavy, I have never confined myself to academic research. In more than three years, I have participated in many social practices, studying and utilizing law in practice. On summer holiday of the first academic year, I made an appearance in social practice; on summer holiday in the second academic year, I served my internship in economic court of Wuhan Economic Development Area People’s Court; in the third academic year, I practiced in Shanhe Lawyer Office in Hubei Province. All these are my unforgettable social experiences, which make me involve myself in the environment in need of law and place myself in social contradictions. I understand the connections and differences between knowledge of law on the textbooks and the society. Meanwhile, these practices firm my idea of developing myself into a lawyer.

　　In this June, due to my academic excellence and outstanding performance in IELTS (7.0 points), I was lucky to be sent to Law School of National University of Singapore for one-term exchange study. I think the experience will enable me to lay a solid foundation for my further studies. At present, the exchange study is still going on. It is helpful for me to receive law courses delivered in English and listen to case analysis of British and American law systems in class. On top of these, independent study and travel in an unfamiliar country enhances my adaptability and living ability.

　　Should I have the chance to study at yours, I will cherish it, arranging the one-year time reasonably, availing of the good academia and teaching resources of yours and obtaining LLM Degree with flying colors. With fully sincerity, I hope you grant me a chance to understand and study the perfect systems and ideas in economic and trade laws of your country and even the whole western countries. The knowledge is of great significance for me who dream of becoming the most excellent economic lawyer in China.

　　學(xué)習(xí)法律是我兒時(shí)的夢(mèng)想，是我探求社會(huì)公平與和諧的方法，更是我實(shí)現(xiàn)成為律師這一職業(yè)生涯所必經(jīng)的道路。我的爺爺奶奶是新中國成立后，國家第一批法律工作者，父親是一名法官，在這樣的家庭環(huán)境中成長，自幼我就被灌輸著有關(guān)法律的種種價(jià)值觀念，如果說，幼時(shí)的我是被動(dòng)地接受，那么，在過去的大學(xué)三年中，法律對(duì)于我而言已經(jīng)不僅僅是專業(yè)，更是生存的方式。因?yàn)榇髮W(xué)中我所學(xué)習(xí)的法律思維邏輯，極大地影響著我的思想，法律是人類智慧的結(jié)晶，是和諧社會(huì)的基石。想要實(shí)現(xiàn)律師的理想，促使著我堅(jiān)定不移地走在學(xué)習(xí)法律的道路上。

　　入世不久的中國，在經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化這樣一個(gè)大環(huán)境下前行著，有著更多的發(fā)展契機(jī)，與發(fā)達(dá)國家的貿(mào)易往來也日益增多，但同時(shí)也暴露出很多不足，最明顯的莫過于法律制度上的缺陷。本科階段的學(xué)習(xí)，使我更加清楚地了解到，我國法律的諸多問題,意識(shí)到中國需要學(xué)習(xí)與借鑒西方國家的相關(guān)制度。因此我想去國外了解英美法系的法律思想，去學(xué)習(xí)西方關(guān)于經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易法方面健全的法律體制，英國作為普通法系的發(fā)源地，法律研究和教育在國際上都享譽(yù)盛名。

　　在網(wǎng)上查閱了英國著名學(xué)府的法學(xué)院招生信息和專業(yè)設(shè)置后。我驚喜地發(fā)現(xiàn)貴校于2007年即將開設(shè)international corporate governance and financial regulation 。在我看來，這個(gè)專業(yè)是可以使學(xué)生在一年中全面接觸公司法的制度規(guī)則，并可以實(shí)踐性地從財(cái)政金融等方面學(xué)習(xí)并運(yùn)用法律。這無疑給了我很好的機(jī)會(huì)在一年的研究生學(xué)習(xí)中更大程度地接觸公司法方面的相關(guān)內(nèi)容。所以我希望申請(qǐng)**大學(xué)**專業(yè)。

　　本科期間，除了本專業(yè)外，我還輔修了第二學(xué)位WTO商學(xué)，商科的學(xué)習(xí)使我明顯地意識(shí)到，在我國貿(mào)易方面法律制度的矛盾和缺陷，也更加堅(jiān)定了我想系統(tǒng)地學(xué)習(xí)相關(guān)專業(yè)的追求。雙學(xué)位的課程雖然繁重，但我并沒有因此讓自己局限在學(xué)術(shù)研究中，三年多來我也多次走入社會(huì)，在實(shí)踐中學(xué)習(xí)并運(yùn)用法律。大一暑期的社會(huì)實(shí)踐，大二暑假的法院實(shí)習(xí)，大三的律師事務(wù)所實(shí)習(xí)。都是難忘的實(shí)踐活動(dòng)，使我有機(jī)會(huì)置身于急需法律的環(huán)境，置身于社會(huì)矛盾的面前。我了解了課本中的法律知識(shí)與現(xiàn)實(shí)社會(huì)的聯(lián)系與差異，同時(shí)這樣的實(shí)踐，更加堅(jiān)定了自己做律師的想法.

　　今年六月，因?qū)W術(shù)成績優(yōu)秀，獲得雅思7分，所以有幸被學(xué)院選拔到新加坡國立大學(xué)法學(xué)院，進(jìn)行一學(xué)期的交流學(xué)習(xí)。我想這段經(jīng)歷可以為今后的研究生學(xué)習(xí)，打下堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。新加坡交流學(xué)習(xí)的生活仍在繼續(xù)著，能夠接受國大的全英法律教學(xué)，并且在課堂上接受英美法系的案例分析，對(duì)于我今后的學(xué)習(xí)有著極大幫助.除此之外,獨(dú)自在陌生的國家游學(xué),這也提高了我的適應(yīng)和生存能力.

　　如果可以被貴校錄取，我會(huì)萬分珍惜這次寶貴的深造機(jī)會(huì)，合理安排有限的一年時(shí)間，充分利用貴校良好的學(xué)術(shù)氛圍和教學(xué)資源，爭取以優(yōu)異的成績獲得LLM學(xué)位。衷心地希望貴?？梢越o我這個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)，去了解并學(xué)習(xí)貴國，乃至西方社會(huì)在經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易法律方面的完善制度和思想，因?yàn)檫@些知識(shí)對(duì)于我這個(gè)夢(mèng)想著成為中國最優(yōu)秀的經(jīng)濟(jì)法律師來說，是極為重要的。

人生即為選擇!法律專業(yè)，海外留學(xué)，律師職業(yè)，這就是我一生無悔的選擇!
