學(xué)校簡介

學(xué)校位于美國佛羅里達(dá)州南部，校園環(huán)境優(yōu)美，占地面積80 英畝。學(xué)校設(shè)置各種大學(xué)預(yù)科課程，包括多種進(jìn)階課程，20 多種AP 課程。學(xué)生積極參加到各種課外活動(dòng)中，如體育運(yùn)動(dòng)，藝術(shù)等。學(xué)校的游泳隊(duì)、越野隊(duì)、網(wǎng)球隊(duì)、高爾夫球隊(duì)、籃球隊(duì)以及曲棍球隊(duì)得到全國的認(rèn)可。學(xué)校給學(xué)生家一般的呵護(hù)。在卓越而又富有愛心的教師的指導(dǎo)下，學(xué)生身心得到全面發(fā)展！
學(xué)校歷史：
學(xué)校由Rev. Hunter Wyatt-Brown,Jr和 Curtis, Jr建立于1961年，他們盡自己最大的努力得到了這塊土地并且籌集資金建立了這所學(xué)校，許多人都表示支持這個(gè)項(xiàng)目，其中，Alexander Hendweeson 在提供資金方面起到了很大的作用。這所學(xué)校在建立之初是一所男校，但是到現(xiàn)在學(xué)校提供幼兒園到12年級(jí)的課程，學(xué)生總?cè)藬?shù)達(dá)到了1160人，是一所寄宿走讀學(xué)校。這所學(xué)校的低年級(jí)開始于2000年。從2003年以來，學(xué)校用于建設(shè)新校區(qū)和增加新設(shè)施的資金已經(jīng)超過了1千6百萬美金。2008-2009年，學(xué)校新增加了Moabery Early Years Learning Center，Green Building Rating System等一系列新的建筑。

If you've never lived away from home, it may be hard to imagine what life is like when you live on campus. Will you be studying all the time? Will you ever leave campus? Just like Saint Andrew's day students, you'll have plenty of opportunities for sports and arts, for time with friends, for hanging out at the mall, or for going to the beach. Here's what a typical school day looks like for a residential student:

6:45 a.m.
Alarm clocks start ringing!

7:00 - 7:50
Head to the dining hall for eggs, pancakes, or your favorite bowl of cereal.

7:50 - 8:40
You'll be in your first period class.

8:45 - 8:55
Meet with your Advisory group and get the morning bulletin.

9:00 - 12:15
You're in class during this time - Spanish, Chemistry, Shakespeare, you name it! In between classes, you can run back to the dorm to get your next set of books and grab a snack from the fridge in your room. You will also attend Chapel on Mondays.

Lunch
Enjoy lunch with friends in the dining hall - there's a great selection of salads, soup, hot entrees, pizza, and a sandwich bar.

12:45 - 2:40 p.m.
Back to class for the afternoon.

2:50 - 3:30
Attend a required class meeting or meet with a teacher for extra help.

3:30 - 5:45
This is your time. You might be at tennis practice or cheering for your friends at a lacrosse game; you can schedule a session for extra help with a teacher, or go to a film club meeting or play rehearsal. Van shuttles run during this time, too, so that you can run to the office supply store or the Asian market to stock up on snacks.

5:45 - 7:00
Dinner in the dining hall with your roommate, friends, and faculty.

7:00 - 8:00
Open time: Hang out in your room, play Frisbee on the lawn, watch a little TV.

8:00 - 10:00
Required study hall: Work in your room or with a group of friends in the dorm lounge, or head over to the library for help from a teacher.

10:00 - 10:40
Return to your residence hall to play video games, send an email to your parents, and grab a late-night bowl of ice cream.

11:00

Each weekend, teams of campus faculty plan and supervise an array of activities and special events for boarding students. Off-campus excursions, including trips to beaches, shopping malls and special events, take advantage of the many local opportunities.
On-campus activities are also planned. Cookouts, pool parties, movies, dances and athletic events typically appear on weekend schedules. With permission, resident students may accept invitations to day students' homes for weekend visits. Other residents, whose families live near the school, may arrange to go home for the weekend.
